Effective immediately, the renewal process for certified SORA instructors will consist of the following:

The first step of the process requires the instructor to review the current SORA curriculum which satisfies the requirements of
Title 13:55A-5.6 Security officer instructor refresher course.
|
Secondly, the instructor will send the Private Detective Unit an email at
privatedetectiveunit@njsp.gov
with the
renewal application number, and a correctly cropped, sized photo as well as getting fingerprinted. The form will be available once you have paid for the renewal.

The application will only be renewed after verification of the renewal application, fingerprints, and photo.
